Micrometer Heads and Fine Adjustment Screws

Adjustment screws are used for precise linear adjustment in positioning, alignment, and setting systems. Depending on the requirements, micrometer heads are employed for maximum resolution and highly reproducible fine adjustment, while fine-thread screws enable precise and cost-effective adjustments with a larger travel range. Typical applications include optics, metrology, laboratory and test equipment, as well as mechanical and fixture engineering.

Series overview of Precision Adjustment Screws

MHGS – Micrometer Heads

For applications with the highest requirements for accuracy and reproducible fine adjustment.
Micrometer heads enable extremely fine, precise, and reproducible linear adjustment. They feature a scale for repeatable settings and are designed for applications requiring maximum precision.

  • Minimum resolution: 10 µm
  • Adjustment range: up to 50 mm
  • Accuracy: ± 2.5 µm
  • Tolerance: ± 2 µm
  • Mounting: Lock screw / Clamping

PS - Fine Adjustment Screws

For precise, cost-effective adjustment with a moderate adjustment range.
Fine-thread screws provide a cost-efficient alternative for precise adjustments. They are suitable for moderate travel ranges where no defined scale resolution is required.

  • Thread pitch: 0.25 mm / 0.5 mm / 1 mm
  • Adjustment range: up to 25 mm
  • Accuracy: ± 15 µm
  • Mounting: Thread locking / Cylindrical clamping
